BPC marks 55th anniversary with campus expansion and new academic programs

CITY OF MALOLOS — Celebrating 55 years of empowering Bulakenyo youth, Bulacan Polytechnic College (BPC) kicked off its founding anniversary recently, at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city under the theme “Guning Taong Pagkakatatag: Marangal na Nakaraan, Makabagong Kinabukasan,” a milestone event that served as the launching pad for a major transformation in technical and higher education across the province.

Leading this vision, Governor Daniel R. Fernando outlined the Provincial Government of Bulacan’s (PGB) concrete strategy to strengthen BPC’s satellite campuses.

A major highlight of these initiatives centers on the San Jose del Monte (SJDM) satellite campus, where the PGB is moving away from rented spaces by acquiring a dedicated property spanning over one hectare. To complement this land acquisition, Fernando secured approval from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) to fund a brand-new, modern building on the site.

In addition to physical growth, the PGB is pushing for academic expansion across BPC’s network, thus Fernando directed the college to introduce new technical and bachelor’s degree programs alongside its established technical-vocational tracks.

Highlighting the role of BPC in transforming lives, OIC – College President Dr. Mel Oliver S. Balagtas stated the importance of bringing free education closer to Bulakenyo students.

“Sa 55 years ay patuloy po tayong nagta-transform ng lives through quality education. Ito po ay for a brighter and more progressive future for Bulacan and to our nation. (UnliNews Online)
