SAN LEONARDO, Nueva Ecija — A notorious drug peddler believed to be the primary source of illegal drugs in this town was arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Nueva Ecija Provincial Office following a buy-bust at around 4:30 p.m. in Barangay Tabuating on Tuesday (July 22).
The PDEA team leader identified the arrested as alias BOSS TAN, male, 34 years old.
The apprehended suspect yielded 6 pieces of plastic transparent sachets containing approximately 30 grams of shabu and the marked money used by the undercover agent.
“Alias BOSS TAN has been on our radar since 2024; however, his evasiveness and concealment of his illegal activities through chicken nugget selling had previously hindered anti-drug efforts,” the PDEA team leader said.
The operation was conducted through the collaborative efforts between PDEA Offices in Nueva and Aurora, and PNP Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.
Arrested suspect will be temporarily detained at PDEA RO3 Jail Facility in City of San Fernando, Pampanga, while a non-bailable offense under Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165 is now being readied for filing. (UnliNews Online)
