CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga — Three Chinese nationals were arrested by authorities for carrying approximately 46,533.3 grams of suspected kush (high-grade type of cannabis) valued at P69,799,950.
The illegal drugs were discovered at around 8:03 a.m. during a routine inspection procedure conducted by Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Clark at Clark International Airport on Saturday (March 7).
PDEA Clark team leader identified the arrested suspects as alias Ang See, male, 39 years old; alias Kim Tan, male, 27 years; and alias Li Cheng, male, 30 years old.

The three suspects yielded 3 pieces of luggage containing 99 transparent vacuum-sealed plastic packs of dried leaves and fruiting tops believed to be a high-grade type of marijuana (kush).
According to BOC, the suspects were transit passengers from Bangkok, Thailand to Clark and were bound for Hong Kong.
The suspects are now under the custody of PDEA Central Luzon for tactical investigation. Meanwhile, confiscated illegal drugs will be forwarded to PDEA-3 laboratory for forensic examination and confirmation.
The successful interdiction operation was conducted through the collaborative efforts between BOC-Port of Clark, PDEA offices in Clark and Pampanga Provincialz PNP Drug Enforcement Group SOU 3, PNP Aviation Security Unit 3 and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Pampanga District Office.
Apprehended suspects will face appropriate charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Cocmprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (UnliNews Online)
