CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — As part of its continuing commitment to ensuring safer learning environments, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) is strengthening school safety across Central Luzon by encouraging all Police Provincial Offices (PPOs) and City Police Offices (CPOs) to establish partnerships with their respective local government units (LGUs) and stakeholders in support of school security initiatives.
The effort draws inspiration from the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (Bulacan PPO), which recently partnered with the City Government of Malolos in the turnover of handheld metal detectors to Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School on Thursday (June 25).
The activity was attended by PCOL Jay B. Baybayan, Acting Provincial Director of Bulacan PPO, Ferdie Durupa, Chief of Staff for the City Mayor’s Office and P/Lt. Col Rommel E. Geneblazo, Chief of Police of the Malolos City Police Station.
The handheld metal detectors will provide an additional layer of security to help protect students, teachers, and school personnel while reinforcing existing campus safety measures.
Building on this best practice, P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director of PRO3, has directed all PPOs and CPOs to pursue similar school safety initiatives suited to the needs of their respective localities through close collaboration with LGUs, school administrators, and community partners. The goal is to strengthen preventive security measures and promote safer learning environments throughout Central Luzon. (UnliNews Online)
