Bahay at Yaman ni San Martin de Porres, Inc. wins ‘Sayaw ng Pag-asa, Kultura ng Bulacan’

CITY OF MALOLOS — The children from the Bahay at Yaman ni San Martin de Porres, Inc. danced their way to the top of the Sayaw ng Pag-asa, Kultura ng Bulacan: Makabagong Kultural na Sayawan ng mga Institusyon held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city on Wednesday (Sept. 9). as part of the celebration of the Singkaban 2026.

Outperforming 11 other teams, the champion team took home P20,000 cash prize alongside a certificate of recognition.

Eduardo F. Marcos, the coach of the children, thanked the Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando, the Area-Based Standards Network (ABSNet), the social workers, and their institutions’ head Boyet Concepcion, for letting the children participate in events such as Singkaban Festival.

“Inspirasyon po namin ’yung mga bata. Gusto po namin na maipakita po ang kanilang talento, hindi lamang po sa Bustos kundi sa buong Bulacan po. Lagi ko pong sinasabi sa kanila na mag-enjoy lang po sila dahil nasa labas po sila, palagi po kasi silang nasa loob eh. Sobrang proud na proud po ako sa kanila,” Marcos said.

Meanwhile, as Fernando’s representative, Crispin de Luna encouraged the children to express their stories through dance.

“Ang mga institusyon ngayon na narito ay may sariling kwento. May mga kwentong hindi natin palagiang nakikita, mga taong araw-araw nagta-trabaho, naglilingkod, nag-aalaga, nagtuturo, tumutulong at gumagawa ng paraan para mas maging maayos ang buhay ng iba,” he said.

Moreover, Ephesus Home of Mary and Joseph Foundation, Inc. was awarded 1st Runner-up with P15,000 cash prize; while the Bukal ng Buhay, Inc. was hailed 2nd Runner-up and won the Best in Costume special award with P15,000 total cash prize.

Other special awards winners were St. Elined School Foundation, Inc. for the Darling of the Crowd, and Willing Hearts Orphanage, Inc. for the Most Disciplined Award. They both received P5,000 cash prize.

All non-winning teams were given P5,000 as a consolation prize. (UnliNews Online)
