British national at kasamang Pinoy nasakote sa drug sting sa Pampanga

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Arestado ng pulisya ang isang umano’y miyembro ng international drug syndicate na nag-ooperate sa Central Luzon at mga kalapit na lalawigan sa inilatag na anti-illegal drug operation noong Linggo (Aug. 6) sa Barangay Balite, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Kinilala ni Police Regional Office 3 director Brigadier General Jose Hidalgo Jr. ang suspek na si Philip Craig Joseph, 53, British national at pansamantalang naninirahan sa Angeles City.

Sinabi ni Hidalgo na ang Filipino cohort ng suspek na kinilalang si Duane Bariso Manuel, 45, ng Angeles City ay naaresto rin sa isinagawang drug bust ng magkasanib na operatiba ng Pampanga Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Pampanga Provincial 1st Mobile Force Company at City of San Fernando Police Station.

Matapos kumpirmahin sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ang pagkakasangkot nina Joseph at Manuel sa iligal na droga, agad na nag-utos si Hidalgo ng entrapment operation para madakip ang mga suspek.

Hindi naman nanlaban ang dalawa sa pag-aresto ng mga pulis matapos matanggap ang P1,000 marked money mula sa isang undercover agent kapalit ng isang sachet ng shabu.

Agad na nagsagawa ng masusing paghahanap sa loob ng sasakyang Honda Civic (WHT-366) na ginamit ng mga suspek sa kanilang iligal na pakikipagkalakalan ng droga at nasamsam ang 12 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu na humigit-kumulang 65 gramo ang bigat at tinatayang may street value na aabot sa P442,000.

Bukod sa kotse, nakuha rin ng mga pulis sa mga suspek ang P1,000 marked money na ginamit sa buy bust, isang gray na pouch, at isang Samsung phone.

Nakadetine sa kasalukyan ang mga suspek sa District Jail ng City of San Fernando matapos ang pagsasampa ng kasong paglabag sa Section 5 at Section 11 ng Republic Act No. 9165 sa korte.

Ayon pa kay Hidalgo na patuloy ang isinasagawang operasyon habang pinalalakas ng Central Luzon police ang pagsisikap na mapuksa ang paglaganap ng iligal na droga upang makamit ang drug-free region. (UnliNews Online)
