BALANGA CITY, Bataan — Three drug suspects were collared during a buy-bust operation which led to the confiscation of some P88,400 worth of suspected shabu. The operation was consummated at around 3:34 p.m. in Barangay Cupang Proper on Monday (April 13).
PDEA Bataan Provincial Office identified the apprehended suspects by their aliases as follows Jonex, male, 43 years old; Pilay, Male, 62 years old; and Jaypee, male 42, 42 years old.
Recovered from them were 5 plastic transparent sachets containing approximately 13 grams of suspected shabu valued at Php 88,400.00, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money used during the drug sting.
According to PDEA team leader, the operation stemmed from a report from a concerned citizen alleging that the suspects were involved in illegal drug activities,which prompted PDEA to launch the operation.
The operation was conducted through the collaborative effort between PDEA Bataan Provincial Office, PDEA Seaport Interdiction Unit (SIU), and Bataan PPO-Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU).
Arrested suspects will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (UnliNews Online)
