More than P1-M worth of shabu confiscated; suspects arrested in PRO3 operations

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Intensified anti-criminality and anti-illegal drugs operations conducted by Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) resulted in the arrest of several suspects involved in illegal drugs, illegal possession of firearms, resistance to authorities, and a recent shooting incident in Bulacan and Pampanga.

In Baliwag City, Bulacan, a 47-year-old motorcycle rider was arrested by personnel of the Baliwag City Police Station during a checkpoint operation along DRT Highway, Brgy. Pinagbarilan.

The suspect was initially flagged down for violating Republic Act 10054 after being seen driving without a standard protective helmet and side mirrors.

Authorities later recovered approximately 55 grams of suspected shabu worth around P374,000.00 after the suspect attempted to evade the checkpoint and resisted arrest.

In a separate operation in the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, two suspects linked to the killing of a female victim, were apprehended through intensive follow-up operations and data gathering conducted by elements of the SJDM City Police Station.

Meanwhile, operatives of Police Station 1 in Angeles City, Pampanga, arrested another drug suspect during a buy-bust operation conducted in Brgy. Pulungbulu. Confiscated from the suspect were approximately 60 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street drug price of P408,000.00.

PRO3 Director P/Brig. Gen. Jess B Mendez lauded the operating units for their successful operations, stressing that the accomplishments reflect the strengthened implementation of the PNP Focused Agenda of Chief, PNP P/Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly in intensified anti-criminality and anti-illegal drugs efforts.

“These successful operations highlight the commitment of our personnel to aggressively pursue criminals, illegal drug personalities, and armed offenders who threaten the safety of our communities. We will sustain intensified police operations, checkpoints, and intelligence-driven law enforcement actions to ensure the continued safety and security of the people of Central Luzon,” P/Brig. Gen. Mendez said.

He further emphasized that PRO3 remains steadfast in delivering responsive and people-centered policing anchored on the principle of “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.” (UnliNews Online)
