PRO3 reports lower focus crimes, seizes P69.9-M illegal drugs in June

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported its intensified anti-criminality campaign throughout June 2026, recording significant accomplishments in crime reduction, anti-illegal drugs operations, the arrest of wanted persons, loose firearms enforcement, and local ordinance implementation across Central Luzon.

During the month, the region’s eight focus crimes declined by 24.84 percent, with incidents dropping from 310 in June 2025 to 233 in June 2026. The sustained reduction reflects the effectiveness of PRO3’s intelligence-driven operations, heightened police visibility, and strengthened collaboration with local government units, partner agencies, and the communities they serve.

PRO3’s campaign against wanted persons resulted in the arrest of 1,032 fugitives, including 210 Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and 822 Other Wanted Persons (OWPs), reinforcing the Region’s commitment to bringing law violators to justice.

The Region also intensified its anti-illegal drugs campaign by conducting 800 operations, leading to the arrest of 1,105 drug personalities and the seizure of approximately ?69.94 million worth of illegal drugs. Confiscated during the operations were significant quantities of shabu, marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy, and kush marijuana, dealing another major blow to the illegal drug trade in Central Luzon.

Meanwhile, PRO3’s campaign against loose firearms yielded 700 recovered firearms through confiscation, surrender, deposit, and capture. The operations likewise resulted in the arrest of 127 individuals and the filing of 124 cases for violations of Republic Act No. 10591, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Under the Safer Cities Program, the Region also intensified the enforcement of local ordinances, resulting in 281,010 apprehensions across Central Luzon and the collection of more than ?26.23 million in fines. The initiative forms part of PRO3’s continuing efforts to promote public discipline, enhance community safety, and preserve peace and order.

PRO3 Director P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, credited the Region’s accomplishments to the dedication of its personnel and the unwavering support of local government units, partner agencies, and the public.

“These accomplishments reflect the dedication of every police officer in Central Luzon and the strong partnership we have built with our stakeholders and the communities we serve. Our gains in crime reduction and law enforcement are the result of disciplined police work, intelligence-driven operations, and active community cooperation. Guided by the PNP Focused Agenda of our Chief, PNP, PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., we will continue to strengthen our efforts to ensure safer communities and deliver police service that is fast, honest, and truly felt by every Filipino,” Mendez said.
