CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) recorded the arrest of 1,082 wanted persons across Central Luzon from August 1 to 26, 2026, as police stations intensified manhunt operations against individuals with outstanding warrants of arrest.
Anchored on PRO3’s “Own the Project” principle, Chiefs of Police are expected to take full responsibility for the manhunt effort in their respective areas, actively account for wanted persons, and meet operational requirements through sustained intelligence gathering, coordination, and police operations.
Records showed a sharp increase in daily arrests from August 24 to 26. From 52 arrests on August 24, the number rose to 135 on August 25 and further increased to 145 on August 26, reflecting intensified operational efforts and closer supervision at the station level.
Among the police provincial and city offices, Bulacan recorded the highest number of arrests with 242, followed by Nueva Ecija with 208 and Pampanga with 171.
The momentum continued in the succeeding days. From 5:00 PM of August 24 to 8:00 AM of August 27, PRO3 recorded 311 arrests in less than three days, further showing the concerted efforts of police stations and operating units across the region.
PRO3 Regional Director PBrig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez said the results show how the ownership principle translates into concrete police action.
“Our Chiefs of Police must own the responsibility in their respective areas. They know who are wanted, they know their communities, and they are expected to act. The results we are seeing show what can be achieved when every station takes responsibility and works toward one objective,” Brig. Gen. Mendez saidd. (UnliNews Online)
