CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In support of the nationwide security preparations for the 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday (July 27) the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) is all set to deploy 1,500 police personnel to augment the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) in ensuring the peaceful and orderly conduct of the event.
The augmentation force, composed of personnel from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 (RMFB3) and the Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, and Angeles City Police Offices, will depart July 26, 2026 for deployment to designated security areas, staging points, and rally sites across Metro Manila in support of the Philippine National Police’s overall security plan for the SONA.
Meanwhile, a Reactionary Standby Support Force consisting of around 600 personnel from the Regional Headquarters and other Provincial Police Offices has likewise been organized and will remain on standby in their respective units, ready for immediate deployment should the need arise.
Despite the deployment of augmentation forces, all police units across Central Luzon continue to intensify anti-criminality campaigns, focused police operations, and checkpoint operations to ensure that peace and order are maintained throughout the region.
PRO3 Director P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez said the deployment is part of the Philippine National Police’s comprehensive security preparations under the leadership of Chief, PNP, P/Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., aimed at ensuring a safe, secure, and orderly conduct of one of the country’s most significant national events.
“In line with the guidance of our Chief, PNP, P/Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., we remain committed to delivering serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman while ensuring the safety and security of the public. Our personnel have been reminded to exercise maximum tolerance, respect the constitutional and human rights of individuals participating in lawful assemblies, and perform their duties with professionalism, discipline, and restraint. We have also directed the intensified conduct of checkpoint operations along major thoroughfares across Central Luzon to help maintain peace and order throughout the duration of the event,” Gen.Mendez said (UnliNews Online)
